Apologies if this is in the wrong section.

What is the best way to test your broadband speeds?

Are there any 'tweaks' you can do to get the best out of your bandwidth?

I'm using XP pro, with a 1mb broadband connection.

that one uses a smaller file to download, so there's less bandwidth used for the test...for some, that's an issue,,,it always gives me the same numbers as the more sophisticated tests
