Is there *any* decent program available that
1) Can stream asx files to hard disk & save them in mp3/wav format
2) Can handle the use of a proxy server

Someone ?

Thanks in advance,

ASX files are not audio files, but linking files (similar to the RAM files that were used with RealAudio). In order to find out the actual file streaming, right click on the ASX file link and choose to save it. Then save the file to your HD. Open the file and get the URL to the real file it is linking to (open in a text editor). Then download that file. Most ASX files link Windows Media files. I'm not at home now so I can't tell you the name of this program I use to actually convert the audio files back to MP3, but when I get home, I'll edit this post to include the URL.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
