SP1 Question

OK so I installed this service pack no problem but now I have a new icon in my taskbar "Safely Remove Hardware" is what it says.
What is this and how do I remove it from my taskbar or keep it from running on startup.

In my case it shows my printer/scanner since it came with drivers that were not certified.

This is shown mainly for usb drives etc, so that you can disconnect them from the system safely. That is windows will write all pending data to the drive. If you double click on the icon there should be a check bax that allows you to disable the drive

AND... when you whan to disconnect your hardware (printer i guess),always disable it first from the "safty remove hardware".

you don't really need to, but if you don't windows can become unstable

I don't have any new icon in my task bar.
