SP1 problem with Disk Checking?

Just did a fresh re-install of WinXP with hotfix and SP1. Installed my programs. After a reboot WinXP checks my 2 hard-drives. I thought I might've messed something up. After checking the hard-drives and correcting some stuff. I install NWN and do another re-boot. Now WinXP does another check again...

Does this have anything to do with SP1? I remember not having to do this when SP1 wasn't installed.

Any issues if I disable disk-checking? Or is it at all possible to disable?

Are you running FAT32? NTFS doesn't use much disk checking as far as I know. Switch to NTFS if you're running FAT32. If you are running NTFS there could be a serious problem.
