I had windows98 and soundblaster16 worked fine.I formatted my harddrive, loaded XP pro and soundcard went dead.I bought soundblaster live!with up to date drivers but it will not work .It works for 20 seconds while windows is loading then it makes screachy annoying noises and will not play sound from any source.I tried different soundcards , different pci slots, switched back to windows98, upgraded to XP pro but nothing seems to help.HELP!
