ok, i didnt know where to post this so i posted it here. i have it set so that winamp starts up in the morning so i wakes me up. but the last few times it gave me this message (see pic). but if i run winamp from the start menu it runs fine. i last formated my sept 30 and i also updated the creative drivers yesterday. (i happened on both the standard windows drivers for the card and on creatives. the message also gives the web site (here). this thing has me stumped. many thanks for who ever figures this out.

according to your pic, the error is given by winamp's waveout plugin, which is to make wave files, and not to play music. change the output plugin to the "DirectSound output v2.2.6"
