After starting my laptop, I get as far ask the desktop, then everything slows down for a while. XP Professional.
During the slow down, I cannot access the Start bar (cursor turns into arrow&egg timer).
After a few minutes it all comes back though, but Windows Messenger no longer appears in the systray.
I can't find a way of uninstalling Messenger, so I can try and reinstall it again, does anyone have any ideas?
Strangely, though, I am still getting the systray popup notices when my Messenger contacts sign in!
I'm convinced the problem with messenger is related to the slow startup, too, as it all happened simultaneously.
