so i just bought this dlink dcm-202 cable modem to use with my starpower internet service to avoid paying cable modem rental fees. i called the guy and set it up. usually i get about 7 megabits (consistently) download and 800 Kbps upload. after getting this thing to work i only get about 5 megabits download and 600 kilobits per second upload. i talked to the guy at starpower and he said everything was fine on their side and that i should be getting the proper speed. we were on the phone for almost an hour and finally said that i should call dlink and ask them what's wrong because if it was working ok with the previous modem it should be working ok with this one. any ideas or suggestions before i call?
