Not sure how many people here care, but I thought I'd post this for those that are interested, but have not found out as yet - Slackware has been updated to v9.1

Read the official release notes here:
    http://www.slackware.com/announce/9.1.php

Will probably upgrade over the weekend :)

Having a quick browse over the announce now
    No FB? Shocking! :p

I have some un-partitioned space on the end of this drive. I may have to install it at some point :)

Yeah, I just use the XFT-based Firebird releases and install them manually.

Just finished upgrading my packages with swaret :)

    Next on my list:
    - Manually compile kernel 2.4.22 (currently using 2.4.20 that came with 9.0)
    - Update Dropline Gnome to 2.4.0

2.4.22 is a top kernel. Works really well with me hardware setup.

Oh, sorry, I'm sidwin, a new user here. I've used the information posted here countless amounts of times on my Win XP install.

More recently, I've grown accustomed to Debian Sid, hence my knickname ;)

Anyhoo, hope to add some usefull input along the way.

    Cheers.

Welcome to NTFS, sidwin. Good to see you as a member now :)

And yes, I've got 2.4.22 up and running now, and it's working great. Also finished updating to Dropline Gnome 2.4.0. I like the new fade effect when you select the Log Off/Shutdown option. Looks kind of like the XP shutdown fade effect, except that it's faster.

    Nice work :)

I run Gnome 2.4 on my iBook and icewm on my other box, but I really like the new stuff they've done with Gnome.
