This is so simplistict in its application. Many people here have troubles with their systems & the only fix is to format. Time consuming & a pain in the butt. The method below is oh so simple but requires major changes (maybe) to your system. But when your system is setup restoring takes minutes not hours. OK this is it. A batch file....thus>
del /A:SH C:\pagefile.sys
xcopy C:\*.* E:\CDriveFresh\*.* /D /E /K /H /R /Y /V
/EXCLUDE:Exclude.txt
pause
Plus the exclude txt file>
RECYCLE
RECYCLER
System Volume Information
The above backs the system up & this one>
xcopy E:\_CDriveFreshXCopy\*.* C:\*.* /E /K /H /R /Y /V
pause
Restores your system to a clean state. (when you made the backup)
That's it. How simple is that? I have not tried it out yet but don't forsee any problem with it.
Full instructions are over here.
