Is there a way of getting rid of the arrows that show on my folders on the desktop? I would prefer to not download a third party software. I did find a way of doing it in regedit but the line I am suppose to navigate to is not there. This is how I was going to try it.
    Delete the IsShortcut regisrty value

    I cannot find the Inkfile.

getting rid of the arrows is easy
go to control panel select display

scroll down till you see icon drop the value to 30 or below
