    You just need a webcam and an application to grab and upload an image from the cam.
    Take a look here for some apps that do just that: http://camportal.co.uk/?page=soft&type=win32
    I'd recommend either Dorgem or Fwink as they're nice and simple to use :)

    Make sure you sign up as well. The more the better on camportal.co.uk :)

    Once you've uploaded the picture with whatever app you're using, then put this into notepad, and save it as "webcam.html" or something similar.
    Code:
    <html>
     <head>
      <title>webcam</title>
     </head>
    <body>
    <div>
    <img alt="Loading Image..." title="WebCam" src="cam.jpg" />
    </div>
    </body>
    </html>
    change cam.jpg to whatever filename you used. Then upload it to the same folder as the webcam image.

    It updates as often as you upload the picture, if you want the page to update you can add this
    Code:
    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="SECONDS HERE" />

    example

    <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="30" />
    in between the <head> tags.

    Hi Speedy_B,

    I have followed your instructions regarding a webcam portal...and all seems to go ok......but for some reason its saving the pic to a temp folder and the only way I can browse to it is by

    ftp://<username>:<password>@ftp.argyleparktaxis.co.uk/webcam/webcam.jpg

    If I use http://www.argyleparktaxis.co.uk/webcam/webcam.jpg

    I get a 404......

    I have set the CHMOD to 777

    When I ftp to the webcam folder its empty....

    Hard to explain heres a couple of pics

    I'm guessing that things need to be in the 'www' folder to be accessed by the public. Try changing the upload path in whatever app you are using...
