I have installed a second hard drive in my vectra vl800. The second drive is a segate drive without any jumpers on it. It does not show up in my computer, can anyone help.

A few things:

You will probably need to at least have a jumper on the 'cable select' pins, not too sure about seagate drives though.

Is it on the same cable as the other drive?

Is it a 40 or 80 wire cable your using?

Put the jumpers on & set it as slave.
Yeah what Hipster said. I'm not 100% sure about Seagate but I believe no jumper on the newer Maxtor makes the drive master. ;) Also is the drive showing in the bios?

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?

Impressed you have kept this alive this long EP! So many sites have come and gone. :(

Just did some crude math and I apparently joined almost 18yrs ago, how is that possible???
