schecduled what do i do in task thing to make my computer shut down

    what do i need to put in scheduled task thing to make my comp shut down at a certain time? Any ideas?

    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\TSSHUTDN.EXE 0 /DELAY:0 /POWERDOWN
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\shutdown.exe /s

    Either one of those should do it. Just set up Scheduled Tasks to run one of them at a specific time.

    thanks so much... i think i know the answer too this but is there a way to set it to power up at a certain time? my answer would be no..

    If your BIOS/motherboard support it, yes.
    Check your BIOS settings. I know both my notebook and my old desktop at home have the option.
