ram problem

    I am trying to capture a movie from vhs tape the picture is fin with mpg2 format but the sound is jumpy.
    The indicator show I have 125 ram remaining so how can i allicate that to the sound card

    You don't. That's not the problem. I'd say it's audio-drivers or settings somewhere, perhaps in the encoder. Maybe the recording program isn't very good. Maybe your computer is too slow (how fast is it?). Could be many things.

    yup I concur with zedric...

    more than likely jumpy sound is due to the cpu being slow therefore unable to process all the info @ the same time...

    post your hardware stats and lets see if we can't help you work some kind of solution out...

    Before you do anything that hogs RAM, close any un-necessary programs. File Sharing, IM's, (If you dare, AntiVirus and Firewalls) and anything else you may have running. Also, download MPower from Mindbeat.com. It lets you free up just about all you RAM. Hope that helps! :)
