I can get one cheap (35 usd shipped to me) so I was wondering what it is like. Will the MX440 be a better card to get??

the mx440 is a bit (20-40%) faster and has some anti-alaising technology built into it. 7200 isn't really in the same league.

Frame rate particulars are really down to how important hi spec games are to you .
I am quite fussy on display quality and have been using this radeon card with excellent results, without trying Quake like interactive games, but rather "Kyodai" level of display.
If its any help it seems to optimise on a fairly low 75mhz refresh regardless of monitor, although that rate will prolong the monitors life cycle.
