How much does peoples "system volume information" take up, mines over 3gb this seems a little excessive as, and correct me if i'm wrong, it contains mainly system restore points, and if it does can i just delete most of them

    ps whats hiberfil.sys

mine is just under half a gig...u can delete your system restore points if u think your computer wlil never reach the "gonna throw it out cuz so pissed" point....and hiberfil.sys is your hibernate file...it only exists if u enable hibernate...
