Well I had a drive forget its file format and partition information. I was able to recover the data luckly but I want to compare what I saved to what was on the drive.

So is there a list making program that doesn't care if there is a file format in place or not or partition?

Or if there is data recovery program that can do that I would be happy

You can try out Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery Software it worked for both FAT & NTFS file systems. It also provides 'Raw File Recovery’ feature that recognizes & recovers more than 300 file types including documents, spreadsheets, web content &images.
To try The software download it from: http://www.stellarinfo.com/partition-recovery.htm
