I have to reinstal Windows XP Corp,but I don't remember the Product Key can someone tell me where to find it ,before I format my HD. Is it in the registry? Thank

You ALWAZ have to reactivate after a reinstall.. but its no hassle.. just a quick 3min phone call & its sorted.

But as surge said, if it aint a legal copy you have.. u wont get any help from us here.. WE DO NOT PROMOTE OR ENCOURAGE pirated software in xp-erience.org and neither should you m8.

It's on the XP sticker on your comp or on the manual.

There's no where in the registry that store's the product key. During installation it gets encoded and changed. I've looked around for a way to retrieve the product key from the registry and that's what i found out. You'll need to call microsoft and get a new key. There's some physical identifying features on the installation CD that you can give them and they'll use it to generate a new key for you.
