Pagefile Size

Which is the correct page file size to use ?
I am running XP Pro SP1
with and AMD xp2100+
And 1gig of 2100 DDR (crucial 2.5 cas in 2x256 & 1x512)

Currently I have Used tweakXP pro 2.08 and disabled the page file and set everything to run in ram (hoping for faster performace) is this good practice ??

one and a half the size of your memory, so 1gb = 1.5gb paging file.

If you have some free hours to spend just search the forum for pagefile. You'll find many long threads with every opinion present here.

Ha HA the huge thread has led to much more clarity. Maybe you can advice my final steps so with 1 gig of ram i really need a 1.5 gig page file. I have two hdd one 60 7,200 ATA133 maxtor 1 7,200 ATA 66 maxtor. Currently i have my 60 gig into 3 partions 6 gig windows, 4 gig downloads and backups, and the rest games and movies. the 20 gig drive is all mp3s and my documents would it be best to have windows on the smaller drive and everthing else on the big one inc page file ??? what do you recomend ??
