i have just reformatted put all my settings back on but when i try and load emails it comes up with the message

system shutting down
this shut down was initiated by nt
authority system

the computer then reboots

please can any body help

To keep it from rebooting so you can do what you need to do, click "Start", "Run", then type "shutdown.exe /a" (without the quotes, of course), then go on your merry way.

Did you turn on the xp firewall?

Right click the network shortcut on the desktop/properties. Right click your isp/properties/advanced. Turn the firewall on.
