How can I change the .exe Icons for Office XP. For example the exe for word, I have a Icon the I got from XP-erience that I would like to use as the exe for word. So how do I do this?
you mean the icon for word.
What you need it Microangelo 5.5 or higher, sorry have to pay for that. You might be able to find a few freware tools that also do this but I doubt it.
Certain icons can be changed by right click and going to properties. If it can't be changed there then gtgarside is right, you need something like Mircoangelo.
Why not create a shortcut to winword.exe and change the icon??
You cannot change the shortcuts that are created when you installed Office, as they are protected, so just back these up, then create new shortcuts, and use the downloaded icons.
you can use Res hack to change the real icon to almost any exe but i personally dont recomend using the app unless you understand it ...if you do just dont mess with control set just change the images
right click on desktop>new>shorcut
then browse on the exe (eg. winword)
right click on the shortcut you've just created
you will see that the change icon button is already
enabled click it and browse for the icon you downloaded.
Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
