norton antivirus need help!

    can't enable the antivirus protection in norton. it worked when
    i 1st installed,but i disabled it before going online and can't get
    to run. have tried all my options, read the manual,been to their
    website , tried to uninstall,reinstall,complete sys restore to the
    day before i bought it and still can't get it to operate!
    anyone got any suggestions? i don't need a 60$ coaster!!:mad:

    Have you run liveupdate for the first time yet? Give that a try and see what you see.

    That's NAV 2002 right? I'll look at mine to see what i can find.

    Have you set it back to start with windows?

    Try that "Default All" button too.

    yea it's 2002,ran live update @ setup,but don't know about
    start w/ win or default all, will check and repost.

    2nd post

    ok,went to antivirus menu checked autoprotect enable waited
    a coupla mins then got an ie scripting error as follows:
    line 25
    char 5
    error unspecified error
    code 0
    url:// c:\program~1\navopts.dll/options btm.htm
    and it's all greek to me!
    can you or anyone else make some sense outta this please!!

    try a reboot and start over is my advise. amazing how many ills i've cured that way.
