Hey all you techies, I posted a thread several months ago, complaining about the faulty capacitor issue we are having with our Dell Optiplex GX270's, and happily discovered that we are not alone. We are looking to purchase about 30 new workstations Q4 of this year, and I have to say my experience with these GX270's did not secure my future business with Dell products. What are some recommendations for comparable units. The config. will be pretty standard, WinXP, MS Office, and some other normal CPU intensive programs.
    Thanks

GX280's are great, MUCH better than the GX270's. I still prefer the GX620's though, really sexy :)

I also like, from a user support standpoint, the diagnostic LED's being on the front. This can help if you ever have to do something over the phone ;)

This is true. I need to get my hardtoken linked to me to do more things over the phone. *post it note*

I also just ordered 25 of these.

SC430's aren't adequate workstations, and their scalability is ****.

I dont see why the sc430's can't be used as workstations....
