    I put this together a couple weeks ago, liking it so far

    Came in at $1445 shipped.

    Any reason you did not go with an Intel core 2 duo ?

    I had both priced out and the Intel was coming in around $50 more because of the different motherboard. For the price <$250 the AMD also benched higher than the Core 2 [E6400] in about everything I researched.

    Yeah, but with a little tweaking/overclocking of the E6400, it would easily send that AMD packing.
