I inquired about a new MOBO and CPU today and my local guy said he could get me a "Shuttle" Motherboard and an AMD XP 1900 chip for like $230.00...along with a 350watt supply and case for $60.00...how odes all this sound? anyone have nay info on the SHUTTLE MOBO?

All the reviews that I found on Shuttle motherboards are dated late last year.

built my dad a comp with a Shuttle AK31A and it's doin fine. the one thing bad about it is it's onboard sound... it's horrible. the quality is so bad that i wonder if it's a defect with just that board. if you do get that board, make sure it's a KT266A (AK31A, AK35GT) or KT333 (AK35GT2) chipset and uses ddr.

fyi: you can find good cpu+mobo deals online.. like an Athlon XP 2000+ with a Gigabyte KT333 mobo for about $220 after shipping.
