Net connection problem when start-up

I’m having a problem the first time I turn on the PC connecting to the internet. I have a 3 to 10 min. delay until I get a connection no matter which PC gets turned on first. I have no hardware problems whatsoever. My PC P4 2GHz, all 5 SCSI3 drives, SB Live, Visiontek GeForce4 128 DDR, 768MB SDRAM, XP pro, etc…etc, Wife’s PC also no hardware problems, running XP and kids PC again no hardware problems running Win ME. They’re all equipped with a SMC 9432-TX NIC. All 3 PC’s connect to my Netgear RT314 Gateway Router, in turn to RoadRunner; my ISP. Does anyone have any suggestion why this initial delay on connecting to the internet? After this delay everything is fine. Thank you in advance for your answers.
George.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
