    Im going to upgrade my little P2 333....

    I have about $500 .. I was looking at a P3 1.0 GIG 133 FSB and 256 megs sdram.


    Duel P3 800 ... 133 FSB with DDR ram


    P4 1.4 gig 400 FSB with 256 RAMBUS]

    Didnt look at the AMD..

    What do you all think is the best way to go...

    I want the bang for the buck...... I want click boom.... FAST.....

    Thanks for your input........

    PS.. All I need to get is a motherboard, cpu and mem...

    ok, im not going to tell you which one to buy, except if your not running a server i would stay away from dual CPU's.

    go for AMD.. i had a pentium 3 500 mhz and then i bought an AMD ATHLON 1ghz and then overclocked it to 1.33ghz ..
    i have an IWILL KK266 mobo..
    i think u should go for an AMD..
