My first stab at SCSI, bought the IBM drive with free LSI controller. The connector on the controller is WAY bigger than a PCI socket but the card will go in the socket. Will this work or did I get the wrong card?
The card you got is probably a 64bit PCI card. The normal PCI slot is only 32 bits wide. I can't tell you if it'll work but I'm pretty sure it won't blow up in your face if you start the computer as 32bit PCI cards work in 64bit slots.
yes should work, the 64 bit socket you might find on a server motherboard which probobly ups the rate and features of the card but shoud still work in a 32 bit socket
Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
