alright, here is one for you folks.

As we all know when you open the "My Pictures" folder in Windows XP,
if gives you a neat little preview of the image as an icon for the file.
My question is, is there a way to make that preview image bigger?

    Not to my knowledge.
You could always use "Filmstrip" view instead of the "Thumbnail" view that you're referring to. Filmstrip not only displays the thumbnails, but also shows you a larger preview of the image when you select it.

True, would be nice to have, but it's not possible as far as I know. Have you ever tried Picasa to manage your pictures? It's free after Google bought it over from Lifescape.

Haven't tried it, but what about changing thumbnail size with TweakUI. The Option is there.
