Ok, so yesterday I'm surfing the web and all of a sudden, i get a virus alert from my norton. So i go searching and find an .eml file in my shared folders. So i tried and deleted it. It kep telling me I couldnt because it was in use by another person. But then it disappeared. So, a few minutes ago today, I go to open my outlook and retrieve my email. The outlook setup wizard comes on and i have lost all email and everything in Outlook. How nice. I think these two things are related because the .eml file was called mail or something to do with mail.

Is there anyway i can see if all my old email stuff is still floating around on my hard drive somewhere? If so, where would it be and what would it be called?

Sorry if this is in the wrong directory, but it has SOMETHING to do with security and viruses and stuff, i think. hehe

    Any help would be appreciated.

the old mail file that you should look for is called outlook.pst of any other files (other than archive *.pst) you can import emails/folders/contacts by the import option picking personal folders and selecting this *.pst file.
