Why do I have multiple instances of XP Experience running?
Got no idea what you're talking about.
If you mean the site/IE, perhaps you where here and you opened a link from a notify e-mail ?
You'll need to elaborate more on the problem...
No I mean individual connections.
You mean you are showing up on who's online twice or have two internet explorer windows open ?
nice new sig EP
Dave you need to explain in more detail what you mean by connections exactly...
i guess he doesnt even know what he wants to say to tell us
either that or it is pretty damn late here in the UK, I am sure we will find out tomorrow.
Problem may have even resolved itself.
It's early, not late
almost quarter to 5 in the morn, should sleep really ... should
I have already been asleep for 5 hours since 9, played some Hitman 2 and the played around with the forums even more.
maybe he's drunk like me
Perhaps we're all drunk and he's sober?
Just noticed that http://xp-erience.org and http://www.xp-erience.org store different cookies so that may be the problem.. if there is one?
By multiple instances I mean on my machine. One when I first log in and another each time I post a message or reply and so on. The problem is that the password I originally entered is required again each time this happens even though windows keeps telling me that the password has changed and would I like to save it to which I reply yes.
If I press the back button I am informed that the page has “timed out”. I’ve only one cookie but notice that I have a few (four) different accounts under “documents and settings” one of which I can’t access at all.
The cookie looks like this: -
Strange... have you tried clearing your cookies etc. ?
Nothing has changed inrespect to teh way cookies are stored recently (except perhaps the location of the database) - worth a try?
I'll give this a try and get back to you tomorrow.
