Multiple Desktop buttons where?

When I first got my PC there were four wee button representing four different desktops on the taskbar.

(there was some letters MSSM (or something like that beside them).

At a single click of one I could move to that desktop or I could also show all four desktops at once.

Is this a part of XP because I cant find anywhere to turn it on or was it part of the older nVidia drivers that has been replaced by the newer drivers 'nView'.

'nView' allows multiple desktops but at multiple clicks in a tray icon and it is a pain in the a*s!

Does anyone know where my buttons have gone?

Not a feature within XP. Sounds like a desktop program that probably came with your video card.

If it's still installed, XP PowerToy 'Virtual Desktop Manager,' right click on the taskbar> toolbars> desktop manager. That will give you your buttons back.

Right on, glad I could help. Cool little [power]Toy. I've been playing around with that HTML Slide Show Wizard (htmlgen.exe) powertoy too. Pretty slick.
