I uninstalled windows messenger 4.7 and msn explorer, then installed msn messenger 5.0.

what do i have to do for making msn messenger 5.0 appear in internet explorer toolbars?

did you try?

Right click on IE toolbar next to the last icon on the bar
Choose customize
Add/Remove feature

yes, but msn messenger do not appear in the available toolbar buttons

MSNM v5 must not have this feature built in. I cannot confirm this because I am not running MSNM v5. I will take a look around.
