How can I make the E-mail link in MSN/Windows Messenger open in Mozilla? I already set Mozilla as my default browser, but it still opens in IE.
Another question, but I think that is impossible: How can I make Windows Update work with Mozilla?

For your 1st question, I don't think it's possible as MSN/Windows Messenger are strongly tied to IE (aka Micro$oft) one way or another...
No help, sorry ;)

I think that ant is right, MSNM leans towards IE, instead of just running a link, it runs IE in a certain location.

Windows update, Not sure, they've probably made it with a tonne of worthless activex and scripts that don't work with Mozilla.
Mozilla won't give up your system info as Ie can etc..

not true, messenger calls ie direct and doesnt look which browser is default, but i have my links opening in myie2. i have a small regfile which change the way messenger calls the browser so that it will call the default browser, so it should work for ozilla. only downside of using it, is that you cant open windows update with another brwoser than ie.

OK. I edited the value in question letting it point to Mozilla. Now when I click the Mail-link in WinMes, Mozilla opens up, going to my start-page. Well, at least I got one step further. Thank you all.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
