Just got word a patch was created for MSN Messenger 5.0.0340 Sign-In problem.

"Unzip files into MSN Messenger directory, usually C:program FilesMSN Messenger

    Now open signin.exe

After that open openfirst.exe, once it connects close it down. Do not let it sign out!

Now open the regular msn messenger. All Patched!!! "

    Fileconnect mirror

    Good call @dek :)
I don't use betas myself ... waiting for the final release. This should be good news for those that use MSN5 though.

Ok I tried it. One of the files give me an error saying it was the wrong version of the program or something like that. The other file did work and so does the original messenger.exe file and I can sign in however I have no contacts on my list and when I did add one it say the person was offline when they aren't according to version 4.x. So I say good job I guess but seems there are a few bugs in the patch more then in the program itself. Do keep the good work up though @dek and everybody who helped.
