Under the start up tab I now have quite a few entries that are no longer on my p.c. Can someone point me in the direction to get rid of these entries. I know its in the registry somewhere.:(

Simply right click on the invalid entries and choose delete.

just use search and look for "xxx" u want to get rid of.
u should get to 'run' , 'run once' something like that.

Sorry Outlaw21, not that simple. does not work, just tried it.

You want to get rid of invalid entries in MSconfig? They are in the registry at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupfolder
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg

the registry address of the startup item is listed next to it
delete the entry in the registry

Thanks for the reply yoyo, found it. can I delete the folder as it appears on the left in REGEDIT or do I have to open it up and alter something.

You can delete the folders (the subfolders not the entire "startupfolder" and "startupreg"- folders). But as always backup the key to be on the safe side.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
