monitor out of range

    just reformatted and pc and got it all up and going, went over to anouther house to plug it in and there monitor says out of range when it come to the "welcome screen" it shows the bios stuff and the windows pro loading screen, any ideas why and how to do this???

    yes, go in device manager from safe mode and uninstall the monitor. chance is the monitor that aint working is smaller/cheeper than yours as its refresh rate cant run that fast. also under monitors make sure u have the hide modes ticked.

    what if there is no option of monitor in the device manager in safe mode?

    u can try holding the ctrl key during bootup, failing that reinstal the video adapter from safe mode.

    ok and if that dont wrok?
    work, would pluging it into the origional monitor and deleting its profile then restarting with the crapy one, would that work?
