midi won't play

  1. hey guys i just reinstalled windows coz i did something stupid, and after i reinstalled it i wasn't able to play any midi files, on real it tells me "class not registered" and wmp wont play it, it gives me that error when you can't open a file.. any ideas why?? thanks

    what drivers are u using? if u are using kx then thats why. If u are using creative try updating the drivers or make sure u had it so it can play midi

    go look for updates. What audigy do u have?

    well...like there are different kinds like the audigy LS or platinum. Go to the link and find what one u have. Also make sure u have midi volume on and make sure the programs u use to play them support it.

    Make sure you have SoundFonts installed (I believe it's easy not to install them off the creative cd).
