    Take a guess ;-)
    Would you use Microsoft's firewall and virus software as available here;

    http://www.microsoft.com/security/protect/default.asp

    ...or would you use a third party?

    Thanks,

    Cd

    PS If I already have third party apps (ZoneAlarm and Norton), is downloading the MS stuff a bad idea?

    Microsoft do not offer security applications themselves the guide will only suggest third party tools.

    XP comes with a basic firewall and we think a AV is in the works since Microsoft acquired RAV.

    The default protection is better than nothing but currently tools from a third party provide greater control and features.
