    Hello. Just upgraded to Windows XP Home from Windows 98. I liked the ability to open a new player for each media played using Media Plaer 6.4. This is now lost in XP's version 8.0. Is there any way to enable that, or is there another mpeg media player out there that encorporates this feature that you'd reccomend?

    use this:

    start -> run -> mplayer2.exe

    and then you will have the old fashioned media player

    Go to Start, click "Run..." and type mplayer2

    Look familiar? Thankfully, Microsoft kept the 6.4 version of Media Player in XP. Run the above command again for another window.
