well it seems that those ppl at mandrake dont like letting drivers work right after a new release, i have tryed everything to get the ones for the mandrake 9.0 to work but with no luck.

Anyone know of drivers that work with 9.1 for 3d support ?

and if so how to go about getting them and installing em.

i did find that someone put up drivers that work but only avail to mandrake club members :(

help please before i go insane

    Found out why :)

to quote Arpalhands from the Linuxiso.org fourm......

    "Hello,

Finally I found the solution to use nvidia driver with the official Mandrake 9.1 Bamboo.
All the compilation problems mentionned above are due to the following : By default, when you install Mandrake 9.1, the kernel source package is not installed. So when you try to compile the nvidia driver it'll fail

    Solution :
Install the package named kernel-source-2.4.21-0.13mdk.i586.rpm located on the CD 3 of the Mandrake 9.1 distribution
Get the two following archives http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86_40/1.0-4191/NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-4191.tar.gz and http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86_40/1.0-4191/NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-4191.tar.gz
Respect the NVIDIA instructions to compile and configure (it's very easy)
    That's all"
