For those of you like myself, who still use IE, it is recommended that you follow these tips to make it as secure as possible:

  1. From Internet Explorer, Select Tools -> Internet Options
  2. Click on the Security tab
  3. Choose 'Custom Level' for the Internet zone
  4. Disable ActiveX controls
  5. Set Java Permissions to high
  6. Disable 'Access to data sources across domains'
Especially with the implementation of Microsoft Update, you can set Windows/Office updates to download automatically. Setting this up, there is never a need to turn ActiveX controls back on.

I know it's not new security advice, but I wanted to post for those who might not be aware of it :)

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
