Hello!
I have a problem.
When windows has finished loading and I am actually in windows, the computer just waits for about 1 minute or something and then all my apps and stuff can load. Does this have something to do with my network cards? I have one which is active in a network here and the other one is just not active so I have deactivated it in windows, still thi waiting thing is accuring, why???
(I'm using Windows XP Pro with sp1 installed)

www.mp3.com/asu <- great music! :)

Right click on your networkconnection (NOT your internetconnection) and choose properties. Click TCP/IP and click properties. Add an Ip-address (like 168.93.4.1 or something, just let it begin with 168.x.x.x) and Windows now automatically fills in the Subnet Mask (usually 255.255.255.0). Restart your computer and enjoy the fast startup time!

Glaanieboy: Thanks for your post, I have already done that, the IP address is: 192.168.0.1
Nätmask: 255.255.255.0

Still same problem...why??

Hmm... I am stuck here. Sorry mate, I can't help you any further.

If you are not on a network where you care about sharing files and services, disable the Workstation Service - this should correct the situation. If you do need to share files and services with others on a network, you'll have to put up with the delay.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
