How it Works
The Linksys NetCheck operation is based on four major functions: diagnosis, detection, problem resolution information, and automatic fixes.
Diagnosis
When you access the Linksys NetCheck Web site (with your Internet Explorer browser) you will be asked to download and install a small file, the Linksys NetCheck Diagnostic Engine, which diagnoses your computer's hardware and software configuration.
Detection
Once the diagnosis is completed, Linksys NetCheck will display the problems (or potential problems) it detected on your computer. The problems are divided according into relevant categories - security, performance, Internet, and network.
Similar in operation to Windows Update or Symantec LiveUpdate, NetCheck looks to make sure you have the latest and greatest updates available for your Linksys products. Hasn't worked right yet!
