    Leopard upgrade hits Mac firewall

Upgrading to the latest version of Apple's operating system, might make a Mac less secure, say experts. A test of Leopard revealed that installing it led to the firewall on a Mac being turned off and its default setting changed to leave it disabled.

Ehm, Mac OS X has NEVER let users know about potentially vulnerable processes running on their Mac's. There is a program called Little Snitch that you can download that will do exactly this.

Last I reinstalled my Mac OS X Tiger, the firewall was disabled as well, I had to manually turn it on.

Nothing to see here. Move along.
