Do lead walls affect networks, thouroughputs, connectivity?

Actually it is an xray room at a doctors office. They made a network room one one side of the wall.
lead disrupts waves. so unless as venom says you have a special transmittor (which is probably exceedingly expensive, it isn't going to work.
