check to make sure that you are not trying to burn the discs at a higher speed than the media is capable of - and that you are using the buffer underrun if you have it. you will find that there wont be a lot of discs that can be burnt onto at 40x.
otherwise i would recommend reinstalling the xp aspi drivers and using cdrwin to do ya burning.
oops sorry should have read it properly before replying!! but i would recommend a fresh install of the aspi driversm this sorted out a couple of problems i have had
Have you tried Nero? Nero seemed to have the best compatibility with XP in my opinion. Or try downloading the ISO burner power toy and using windows media! thats all i can think of.
Try Windows OS Central's instructions that were given to burn The RC1-2 ISO's downloaded from M$. It has instructions for several programs. After the Intro, you'll find instructions for each. Since these instructions are a little old, the actual instructions for each program may have changed slightly as newer releases have come out.
