I have a Nokia 6101 with IR. I have a small mini USB IrDA plug because neither of my laptops nor my desktop has IR. Are there different IrDA protocols or something so that Microsoft Wireless Link won't talk to my phone? When I enable IR on my phone, the IR plug finds the phone, tells me a 6101 is there, and acts like it wants to talk to it. I've checked the maximum connect speed and it's set to 115200. The IrDA device is a Kingsun SF-620. When I try to transfer files that way, the transfer dialog comes up and acts like it's doing something but it just sits there forever and finally, I cancel it. No files transfer. When I try to transfer the files from the phone to the laptop, I just get a SENDING FAILED.
I'm sure this is probably on the board somewhere else and I apologize for not taking the time to look for it but I'm on dialup today. Yes, I know. You feel my pain. :speechless:
