Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200BG - High Latency & Packet Loss

I went through similar with my broadcom wifi in notebook - after a reformat since it was eMachines I had to play hunt the dirvers - also did it for ndiswrapper - ah what fun..... I think in future if buying notebook again I would make a point of getting (hopefully discounted) machine with no formatting in place so that I have control of this and of the drivers. But I have a feeling that may be hard to come by.... most people want everything done for them

Well I don't mind the Intel PROSet main window, its just the popup I hate when you connect to a network.

Now it can be disabled but I like the notification however I like the older version's XP balloon look.

I am very fussy with these things. I put off installing SP2 for a while cause it removed Professional from the boot screen.
